Teamwork
During orientation, you will be assigned to a permanent, four-member team as part of the team facilitation seminar. Personality type, work experience, verbal and quantitative aptitudes, undergraduate degree, and nationality are all considered when team assignments are made. While team assignments are designed to be challenging and dynamic, the Terry MBA Program seeks to simulate an experience in the corporate world. As conflict is most often the impetus for change and growth, we learn most from these situations.
The Terry MBA Program challenges each group to evolve from a newly-formed unit into a trusting, high-performing team. You and your team will begin the transformation with the UGA ropes course, the outdoor adventure that concludes orientation. Other opportunities for practice abound: you and your team will work together on class assignments and cases, projects, presentations, and the capstone integrative exercise.
