International Opportunities
The Terry MBA Program offers students both work abroad and study abroad programs. Students may satisfy their international business requirement by taking an international business course or by taking advantage of one of Terry's unique international work or study opportunities.
MBA Travels: These 3-credit courses are conducted over Spring Break with trips to various foreign countries. The courses include 10 hours of campus instruction, travel to the international destination, as well as business and cultural visits in-country. A repeat of the 2008 trip to China (Beijing and Shanghai) will be offered for Spring 2009. Costa Rica has been added as a new destination for study in Spring 2009.
Wintermester in the South Pacific: This trip takes place between the end of finals in December and the beginning of Spring semester. The destinations are two of the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji (3-6 credits). The topic of instruction will be to compare and contrast business practices and the economics of the two countries.
Bocconi University, Milan, Italy: A semester-long (Fall or Spring) exchange program with Bocconi University, Italy's premier business school. Students can choose from some 30 different courses each semester, and classes are taught in English.
Universitè Jean-Moulin Lyon 3, Lyon, France: A semester-long (Fall or Spring) exchange program offering a variety of courses. Classes are taught in English.
Universitè Jean-Moulin Lyon 3, Lyon, France: A summer internship at a company in Lyon, France is offered. Terry will arrange an internship with a company in a field of interest to the student.
Applied International Business Analysis, Nuremberg, Germany: A summer consulting project through Freidrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg for a company in Germany. UGA MBA students will work with a team of faculty and students from this German university. The most recent project was a business analysis and recommendations for a global supplier of wires, cables, and wiring systems in Nuremberg.
Terry's small class size creates a unique learning environment in which students have many opportunities for one-on-one interaction and personal feedback from faculty.
