Requirements
Eligibility, Prerequisites & Work Experience for Terry's Two-Year MBA Program
In order to assure that new students are prepared for the challenges of the Terry MBA, a prospective candidate for the program MUST meet the following requirements for his/her application to be considered.
| Education: | Individuals must have earned a four-year baccalaureate degree from an accredited university or college and have a total of 16 years of education. A cumulative undergraduate Grade Point Average of 3.0+ is strongly encouraged, but significant work experience will also be considered. The Terry MBA program requires official documentation from all institutions attended for educational credit. |
| Coursework/Skill Sets: | Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong mathematical skills and must enter the program computer proficient. In addition, Terry reserves the right to require students to take Calculus prior to enrollment. A working knowledge of statistics is strongly encouraged. |
| Work Experience: | An applicant should have a minimum of two years of professional, full-time business experience following graduation from their undergraduate institution prior to applying to Terry. |
| GMAT: | Students are required to take the GMAT and have official score reports from GMAC sent to Terry MBA Admissions by the application due date, as specified. GMAT Codes: Two-Year: Z95-H2-78 |
| English Language Proficiency: | International applicants must also provide evidence of English Language Proficiency. The TOEFL and IELTS are acceptable. Score reports must be submitted directly to the MBA Program from the testing agency. TOEFL Code: 5813 |
| Interviews: | An interview is required prior to admission. Interviews are scheduled by invitation only after receipt of a complete application. Applicants are encouraged to interview in person. On-campus interviews are scheduled Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9am and 3pm. The interview process includes a 45-minute face-to-face interview with an MBA Admissions Director, lunch with a current MBA student, and a class visit. Every attempt is made to provide the applicant an opportunity to participate in all three aspects of the interview process; however, this may be altered due to University breaks, holidays and exam schedules. Telephone interviews can be arranged for international applicants and domestic candidates unable to travel. |
