Full-Time MBA

Community Service

Every year, Terry MBA students strive to improve the quality of life in Athens and other communities in need of help. From raising funds for tsunami and earthquake victims to cleaning up in Katrina-stricken New Orleans, they have given generously of their time, energy, and business expertise.

Terry MBAs have the choice of choosing a favorite individual cause or participating in group projects sponsored through the Volunteer Dawgs, the business clubs, and the GBA, such as:

  • New Orleans Musicians Village
  • Clarke County Mentor Program
  • Athens Homeless Shelter
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Red Cross
  • March of Dimes
  • Special Olympics
  • Boy Scouts
  • Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
  • Boys & Girls Club
  • Athens Canine Rescue

How strongly does the Terry MBA Program connect community service with leadership? So much so that it is the only MBA program to make community service a requirement for graduation. The minimum number of hours for two year students is 45, for 11-month students, 23.
