Terry College of Business

Georgia's flagship business school, founded in 1912

Full-Time MBA

Community Service

The Terry MBA Program acknowledges the beneficial relationship between community service and leadership. In fact, it is the only MBA program to make community service a requirement for graduation. The minimum number of hours required for graduation is 45.

Each year, Terry MBA students strive to improve the quality of life in Athens and other communities in need of help. From raising funds for various charities to cleaning up in hurricane-stricken New Orleans, they have generously provided their time, energy, and business expertise.

While Terry MBAs have the choice of choosing an individual cause, many choose to combine their efforts to work on group projects sponsored through TeamMBA, Net Impact, or the Volunteer Dawgs. Examples of past volunteer experience include:

  • New Orleans Musicians Village
  • Clarke County Mentor Program
  • Athens Homeless Shelter
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Red Cross
  • March of Dimes
  • Special Olympics
  • Boy Scouts
  • Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
  • Boys & Girls Club
  • Athens Canine Rescue
