Career Coaching
The Terry MBA staff is heavily involved in all aspects of your career search. Before you arrive on campus to begin the Terry MBA program, you will complete the online CareerLeaderTM self-assessment, designed to help you match your interests, values, and abilities with business career paths.
When you arrive on campus to begin the program, you will meet with a professional career coach to review your CareerLeaderTM assessment results and connect them to your career vision and immediate post-MBA career goals. The coach will help you gain a deeper understanding of your business strengths and weaknesses, identify which career paths are the best fit for you, and pinpoint the rewards, both intrinsic and extrinsic, that you seek from your work.
This initial meeting will get you started on building your networking and career search plans. As company information sessions and on-campus recruiting start up in the fall, you will continue to refine and implement your career plan with the support of the MBA CMC staff and Stanton Chase consultants. They will work with you, one-on-one, to:
- Craft your generic resume and your portfolio of targeted resumes
- Polish your professional image
- Network with Terry alumni
- Hone your interviewing skills
- Negotiate and close on job offers
