Active membership in at least one but no more than three MBA business clubs is a program requirement. The clubs provide a myriad of opportunities for students to get involved, give back to the program, and practice their leadership skills.
The following is a list of active MBA clubs, but any student with a good idea and sufficient student support can start a new one:
The MBA-sponsored Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club includes candidates from a wide range of academic disciplines with entrepreneurial interests and ambitions:
The club's mission is to build an entrepreneurial network of students, alumni, faculty, and Georgia business professionals through quality events, activities, and learning opportunities.
The Finance Club prepares members for careers in finance and investment management. It sponsors a team in the Sterne Agee Investment Funds inter-university competition, sponsors guest speakers, and develops and participates in events that contribute to enhancing the reputation of the Terry College of Business.
Every full-time MBA student is a member of the Graduate Business Association. The GBA is the official voice of students and acts in a variety of capacities:
It is also the social hub of the full-time program and hosts a variety of annual events such as fall MBA tailgates and the spring MBA Follies.
The GMBA connects minority students in all Terry graduate programs socially and professionally, through monthly dinners and a variety of other events. It partners with MBA Admissions to host the program's annual Diversity Weekend and sends a team to the NBMBAA case competition during that organization's annual conference.
The Graduate Women's Business Association promotes connections among women in business and informs and educates graduate women about related topics through forums, guest speakers, networking, community involvement, and philanthropy. The association sponsors an annual fundraiser for breast cancer research, Oktoberbreast, and its members attend the annual national GWBA conference.
Terry's International Business Club is open to anyone interested in international business or in maintaining international contacts for future business opportunities. It acts as a liaison to the Career Management Center and the MBA program administration and serves as a forum for issues concerning international students:
The club hosts an annual international dinner to share their culture and cuisine with all MBA students and staff.
In addition to hosting speakers and networking with alumni in marketing roles, Marketing Club members are participating in the Solvay Pharmaceutical Marketing Challenge, a case competition for Atlanta area MBA programs. (view web site)
This club supports the MBA Admissions Office in recruiting new students into the full-time program. Among their activities, MBA Ambassadors escort visiting potential students around campus, to class, and downtown for coffee or lunch following their interview with admissions. Ambassadors also assist with planning and programs for Fall Open House, Diversity Recruitment Weekend, and Spring Welcome Weekend.

The club offers a broad variety of activities including specialized training, professional panels, lectures, and talks.
Open to all Terry students, this Toastmasters chapter provides those wanting to improve their communication skills with unlimited opportunities. Members practice leading teams and conducting meetings, giving presentations and short speeches, and providing and receiving constructive feedback.
All MBA students are Volunteer Dawgs because the program requires community service as part of its requirements for graduation. The club is sponsored by Terry's Center for Non-Profit Management, which acts as a liaison with local organizations in need of business expertise or volunteers. MBA students have written business plans, mentored public school students, volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club, staffed community festivals, and much more.
MBAs enjoy state-of-the-art multi-media classroom facilities. Sanford Hall, the primary instructional building, houses large-screen data projectors, VCRs and stereo systems that enrich class lectures and presentations.
A wireless environment gives students access to high capacity, high performance technology that supports data, video, and voice.
The use of computers is embedded in the MBA curriculum. Course materials such as syllabi, assignments, and grades are typically distributed online. Students frequently work on team projects, sharing drafts and revisions electronically.
Whether in class, downtown, or at home, students rely on computing technology to work more efficiently and creatively.
