A significant benefit of an MBA education is the connections it enables you to make with fellow students, alumni and faculty. As Evening program students face significant challenges in balancing their daily work, family and educational lives, the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities may be limited. Nevertheless, Evening students are invited and encouraged to attend as many social and professional development activities as is possible. Past events such as the Evening MBA Program picnic held at Lake Herrick in Athens, the family social at Jillians at Discover Mills, and the Effective Presentation Skills seminar for full-time students that included participation by Evening students are examples of social and professional opportunities.

Another option for extracurricular participation is within the Graduate Business Association. The GBA is primarily a full-time MBA program student group within the Terry College of Business. They organize many different activities such as networking events, social events, seminars, etc. Evening students are encouraged to attend events as feasible to gain even greater exposure to fellow students and faculty.

Terry alumni can be found all over the world - they are over 50,000 strong. Alumni develop a mutually beneficial lifetime relationship with the school. Terry offers its graduates connectivity on site, off site and on-line, with a unique combination of products, programs and people. From the Terry Third Thursday events held at the Executive Education Center in Buckhead, to the Homecoming tailgate and the annual MBA student/alumni golf tournament, alumni participation is essential as we "Terry-ize" the world gaining marketability, credibility and visibility.
