Resources for Students
Our team prides itself on working closely with MBAs to help you identify and take the actions most helpful in moving your job search forward. We will also help you meet and learn from employers, and develop contacts within the Terry alumni network.
- Appointments with the CMC team
-
Career Advising: In addition to the vision, resume, and interviewing appointments, students may use career development advising appointments to:
- Discuss job search strategy and networking
- Develop elevator pitches
- Identify job leads
- Determine how best to market themselves
- Manage the interview process
- Evaluate and negotiate offers, or
- Determine how to navigate questions that may come up with their future employers
Corporate Relations: Our corporate relations team can help you identify alumni contacts that are most appropriate at your stage in the job search.
You can begin by searching for alumni in the Terry Online Community. All MBA students should have been granted permission to use the database. If you are a first time user, you must register by creating an account under the bold First time visitors link towards the bottom of the page. When you register, enter the word terry instead of the last 4 digits of your SSN when prompted.
Scheduling Appointments:
- Sign up in MBAlink
- Email us at mbacs@uga.edu or contact a team member by email if you’re not able to find an appointment time in MBAlink that will work.
- Events with Recruiters and Alumni
-
The CMC hosts various types of events geared toward bringing students and professionals together to facilitate networking and hiring.
Our event calendar has details for upcoming functions, including the fall recruiting kickoff, on-campus recruiting days, company information sessions, national recruiting fairs, and student club events.
Events for students are kept on the MBA calendar in Outlook and promoted through email and the CMC course. To suggest or help shape an event, please contact our corporate relations team and copy mbacs@uga.edu.
