Employer Policies

For companies recruiting on campus

The MBA Career Management Center (CMC) at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business has developed the following policies to guide companies in the recruiting process. We require that all on-campus employers abide by the policies outlined below. Sign below to indicate your organization's agreement to comply with these policies. Please contact our office by phone at 706-542-3524 or email to address any questions.

  • When interviewing MBA candidates from the University of Georgia, employers must adhere to the University’s non-discrimination policy.
  • Employers are expected to inform students of their status in the process (e.g. invitation to the next round, application process on-hold, offer of employment, still in consideration, or rejection) within three (3) weeks of an interview.
  • Companies must be prepared to accommodate students who request an alternative interview date for religious reasons.
  • Offers made to students may not be rescinded. If business conditions change, a company representative should contact Shannon Caldwell, CMC Director, to discuss the issue before talking to the student.
  • Students should be given enough time to consider and respond to a job offer. We ask that full-time offers made to former summer interns be held open until November 1, 2011 or for three weeks after the date of the written offer, whichever is longer. Full-time offers to other candidates should remain open until December 1, 2011 or three weeks after the date of the written offer, whichever is longer. For internships, offers should remain open until February 15, 2012 or two weeks after the date of the written offer, whichever is longer.
  • Employers are expected to respect students’ academic and pre-existing interview commitments. Therefore, when a student faces a conflict, employers should offer one or more alternate interview dates that will allow the student to interview with the company without breaking prior commitments.
  • Please make sure that all interviewers who will be meeting with our students are made aware of these policies.
