Developing a Presence

There are many opportunities for developing a presence on campus. A strong campus presence enables your recruiting efforts be more successful by raising student awareness of your firm's opportunity and culture. Your time on campus also helps you identify potential candidates and assists everyone in determining "fit" with your organization.

Company Information Sessions

October - November 2007 & January - March 2008

Companies hold information sessions to provide Terry MBA students with a thorough understanding of the company and career opportunities. Most companies hold the information session three or four weeks prior to conducting on-campus interviews so they can meet students who are highly interested in their company. The information sessions are generally held Monday through Thursday evenings, lasting 45 minutes to an hour. While usually held on campus, some companies prefer to meet with students off-campus, at a local hotel or restaurant. Companies interested in hiring for summer internships often hold information sessions in the spring targeted towards first-year MBAs.

On Campus Interviews

October - November 2007 & January - April 2008

We have a suite of interview rooms available for interviewing MBA students on campus. Our office will work with you to collect resumes for preselect schedules or we can help you with open interview schedules.

Mock Interview Days

Ongoing

Recruiters and alumni conduct simulated interviews and provide candid yet constructive feedback to students at the conclusion of each interview. Students appreciate this opportunity to practice their interviewing skills and obtain feedback from individuals who are out in the working world. Companies may schedule a mock interview day that fits their schedule. Hosted by student business clubs.

Executive/Company Tours

Fall 2007 & Spring 2008

Companies are invited to host an on-site networking event with their executives for 10 - 40 MBA students. Executives may give a brief presentation and/or take students on an office tour (this works well for those companies that have a product showroom, or company museum on-site). The tours are designed to expose students to various businesses and industries while providing a networking opportunity.

Volunteer Projects/Philanthropy Workdays

Fall 2007 & Spring 2008

Is your company planning a Habitat Build, participating in Hands on event? As a part of Terry's leadership culture, Terry "Volunteer DAWGS" commit over 1200 combined volunteer hours per semester.

Involvement with Faculty & Guest Lecturing

We encourage companies to meet with Terry faculty and volunteer for guest lecturing in their classes. A faculty directory is available at www.terry.uga.edu/directory. Please contact our office for help with scheduling a meeting with faculty.
